How to choose best components for building desktop computer? Hello. I have decided to build my own computer. I have been doing a lot of research but I am still unsure on a few things. I do know that I want to use an Intel processor and probably an Asus motherboard. Still not sure exactly what type of processor to go with (i3,i5,i7)? I will be using the computer for basic things such as browsing and email. My son is also into gaiming so it will be used for some light gaming as well. Eventually I would like to do video editing and maybe website building on it as well. With all these things in mind, what would be the best processor (i3,i5,i7), best motherboard, best video card, best power supply, best hardrive (ssd or mechanical and speed), what type of optical drvie (dvd or bluray), best case, and anything else I may need to know. Also what would be a good monitor too? I really appriciate any help. Thanks.

I was thinking about getting an alienware desktop but they are very expensive and I'm not sure if it's a little excessive to get an alienware just for the sims. I know a little bit about computers but not much. I'm just not sure if it would be worth it or if there is a cheaper computer that would work just fine. Thanks!

DIY gaming desktop suggestions.? hello, ima 14 year old kid looking to get a nice gaming rig. i was lookin at alien ware but all these reviews say that they are rip off gimicks. sooooo i was hoping some of yall could suggest diy gaming desktop kits or whatever in which i will need step by step instructions, i was to be able to run high preformance games like bf3 at high settings, oh and my price max is probably 800$ or if you think the low end alienware x51 can work good enough say so, thanks for any suggestions!!
Looking for the best gaming desktop.? Im really into video games and such, and I really want a desktop that can handle all of the games I play. I don't really care about the cost as long as its not over 4,000. I've heard alienware is the best and im thinking about the Area 51. But I really want some reviews from real people. So has anyone here ever had an alienware desktop? And can anyone suggest any other gaming desktops. I really want a high end desktop that will last, is very customizable, and can run all of the games exceptionally well. If your gonna say building one is the best way to get a good one than please give me a list of all of the parts I need to get a desktop like the one I want.
Good website to buy a gaming computer? I looked at ibuypower.com but heard many bad reviews about gaming desktops. I have $800 dollars to spend what is a good website that has good computers that can run games really good with good customer service and follows the shipping plans you ordered.
Gaming desktop questions. What specs do I need? My budget is about $1000. Here are some desktops that I've found. The Alienware Aurora: http://www.dell.com/us/en/home/desktops/alienware-aurora/pd.aspx?refid=alienware-aurora&s=dhs&cs=19&~oid=us~en~29~alienware-aurora-anav-1~~#reviews And the Dell Studio XPS 9000: http://www.dell.com/us/en/home/desktops/desktop-studio-xps-9000/pd.aspx?refid=desktop-studio-xps-9000&s=dhs&cs=19 These are my only real options at the moment, as my parents don't want me to build my own and are unwilling to go higher in price for better performance. Which one will be better for gaming? I'm looking for full settings on games like Warhammer Online and Mount&Blade. What upgrades will be necessary? I can't build my own. My parents aren't jazzed about me possibly wrecking it, and I'm terrified because I know that I will wreck it. I'm useless when it comes to things like that. That Gateway computer looks pretty slick. I haven't seen anything better in the three or four weeks I've been searching nonstop for better machines. Sounds like it could run Crysis on full settings without lag, which is great because I have no desire to play something with such high requirements. Do I need to upgrade the memory or anything else if I go with that? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113101
Gaming desktop computer? i want to know what i would need to build a gaming DESKTOP computer under $700. i am really new to this kind of stuff. i am a console gamer, but i find it too easy and want more of a challenge. i know somewhat of the things i would need. such as a video card, motherboard, RAM, etc. but i am not sure what will give me the best performance for the money i am using. i will be looking to upgrade it later on in the future with faster and better performing things. but i really dont know what some of the things are used for. for example, what is the motherboard for, and why that one and not another. and if they are campatible with the other parts of the computer. also i want all performance, not really for the looks. so cheap affordable case would be nice that would last me a decent amount of time. ive also been doing research but there are a lot of mixed reviews about everything, and to a new guy like me, all these letters and numbers are confusing, so some explaination to some of the meanings of things that the parts have, would be very helpful, or if i could get a website where they give a good explaination about everything. i have read a few but they mostly just say what the item is and how much , but they dont explain how this could be better than any other part of the same price range and performance. i also will be mostly playing games such as battlefield, cod, halo (if it comes to pc), minecraft, runescape, skyrim etc. thank you so much, i am asking for a lot, i might as well ask if someone could build it for me. thanks! also, i would even get the alienware x51, but i have a strong feeling that is might mostly be a rip off and not worth the money at all, all looks and no performance, but knowing if its any good would be great!
Wireless card for gaming desktop a floor above router? I'm building a gaming desktop but because of the modem being down stairs while the room I'm going to be keeping the desktop in will be up stairs, I'm going to have to buy a wireless card. Now this is where it gets tricky. Because the router is a floor above the desktop the wireless card will have to have a pretty good range, the problem is the router is a wireless G type so the range will be limited. And on top of that because the desktop will be used for gaming, the card will have to have a pretty solid connection. I've been looking around and wanted to get some peoples opinions on what card they think would work. I'm hoping to keep the price down as much as possible. I'm looking at the TP-Link TL-WN951N card right now but the reviews are pretty mixed, and I'm not sure whether the range will reach. Links to product:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704031 / http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?e=304225 I thought at that price I might as well future proof for if I get a better connection, but because of my location (New Zealand) I doubt our connections will get good enough to use Wireless N technology any time soon.
Looking for good gaming desktop? I am looking for a good gaming desktop, mainly for games like Minecraft. Hopefully Arma 2 will work properly as well. But with my lack of knowledge with computers, I am unsure of what to get, I have found one that has good reviews, and its within my price rang. (I know not to expect a perfect computer for $500, but if it works, it works.) So if anyone with better knowledge would tell me if this is a good fit for say, Minecraft. CyberpowerPC Black Gamer Ultra GUA250 Desktop PC with AMD Quad-Core FX-4100 Processor, 8GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive and Windows 7 Home Premium with Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Option
Is it worth paying over $750 for a gaming desktop? I have a HP Pavilion P7-1010 desktop that isn't great for gaming. I got around $300 for my birthday, and am not sure if it would be worth buying a $760 gaming desktop. I am unsure about buying it mainly because I have never spent this much on a computer. I don't want to spend well over $700 on something I don't need. I don't game a lot, it would primarily be for Minecraft, and recording Minecraft. I don't want a laptop, or a tablet, so don't even bother putting that as a solution. Here is the link to the computer I am looking in to buying:http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Scorpius_8000/ Keep in mind that I probably won't be doing any hardcore gaming on this, and there isn't anything wrong with my computer that I have (other than the fact that I can't record Minecraft without lagging horribly). The computer got great reviews, and the site is trustworthy. The other reason I'm on the fence is that it would take me the whole rest of the summer mowing peoples lawns to get the money, and I obviously don't want to work so hard and get something I am going to regret buying. I would also try to sell my desktop that I have currently to go towards the new desktop if I choose to get it. Any real advice, would help, and please respond ASAP, thanks.
Is this a good gaming desktop? Please help? I found a desktop that looks good. I dont know how to build my own. I would like to play modern games on it on high settings. Its super long name is: Microtel Computer® AMTI9041 Gaming Computer with 3.4GHz AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor, 12GB DDR3 1333mhz, 1TB Hard Drive 7200RPM, 24X DVD-RW, Nvidia 550 GTX-TI 1GB Video Card, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Full Version CD - 64 bit + WiFi 4.4 out of 5 stars See all reviews (23 customer reviews) | Like (16) But it might be easier to look at the link at amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Microtel-Computer%C2%AE-AMTI9041-Processor-Microsoft/dp/B004FRSVPU/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3T6F8XDC69D81&coliid=I175QV8T2UPY7 Thank you so much for your replies! I'll keep doing research, but its great to know that it can handle most things!
Building a gaming desktop and need help with processor and motherboard? I want a decent gaming desktop[ that will last long. I don't plan to play high end games which require expensive equipment. At best I want to be able to play Fallout New Vegas smoothly and be able to multitask daily without any hardware issues. For the processor, I was thinking about this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=19-115-220 The problem is that it's quite expensive for an i5 dual core and according to the reviews, the cooling system including is terrible. If I do buy the processor and an after cooler, what would a good Asus motherboard be for it that's cheap and effective? If I don't decide to buy it, what is the AMD equivalent to the processor above and what motherboard would be good with it? @Krist Can you go into more detail about the motherboard. I don't know much about computers, and don't really understand the motherboard and what it does, plus why I should get this one instead of another. Can you explain to me some features? I really appreciated your suggestion about the CPU, it seems it's the same as the one I linked, but much cheaper. @Mitchell Thanks for the advice, I'm not really looking into quad-cores though seeing as not many programs can fully utilizes its potential. @David Thanks for the recommendations and advice, but I'm afraid I'm on a tight budget and won't be able to really expend much on better parts. I've been thinking about this motherboard, what do you guys think about it? I've read the reviews and examined the specs, it seems pretty good, but I'm confused about what is the two RAM slots mean and do for the motherboard? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-131-716

Gaming Desktop Build? Best Answer? I currently have 2 desktops that I dont know all of the specs but I was wondering if i took these two to a computer shop if I could get a better build than i already do with one of them. (this ones a link for the specs) HP Pavillion Slimline: http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/hp-pavilion-slimline-s5212y/4507-3118_7-33847510.html My other computer operates off of two differend Hard Drives and currently has some minor running issues and it runs on windows Vista but is a very large tower. I know that it only operates 32-bit and im not sure on the RAM or graphics card (unfortunately). And if the second computer's information isn't enough then could i have some recommended upgrades (specific) to make the pavilion run better?
How much money should I spend on parts for a pre-built gaming desktop? Hi, I'm looking to buy a decent gaming desktop for playing things like ArmA 2, ArmA 3, GTA V, and probably many other things on medium to high settings. The point is, I know that these games might take a pretty good machine to run, and I don't know how to pick out the parts for the one I buy. I'm wondering which parts I should spend most on. I'm 16, so my budget for now is around $1700 to $2000 total, including accessories. I started looking at the Maingear Potenza, Vybe and F131, because they seem to have good reviews. My only problem with Alienware is the lack of proper customer support (although I know that if I call Dell itself, they will most likely be helpful) Thanks! -Sam
What is a good gaming desktop? So I have a mac laptop, but as all of you would know, that is not at all satisfying for a gamers wants. I have extra space in my room for a small desk/desktop and need to fill it. My budget is anything below $1,000 (More or less around $700-$850). Currently I am looking at the Gamer Xtreme 2000 that is around $850. I have heard amazing reviews from it which is why I would like it. But being the person I am, I only trust reviews and advice given from either 4Chan or Yahoo!. So people of the interwebs here is what I need. -Runs fast. -A little over average graphics. -Runs fast with a little over average graphics. -A decent SSD (if possible, last thing I'm looking for is this.) -Good storage. -Built in wifi. (If possible, if not I'll just add one.) -Moderately quiet. -Run games like skyrim quickly with decent graphics (Goes along with speed and graphics). -Sort of compact. -Easily editable so that I may overclock and replace items. -All things on FRONT. Headphone Jack, Mic Jack, USB's EVERYTHING ON FRONT. -Anything else you think I missed. The computer I currently want runs at about 88 FPS with average 1900xsomethinsomethin resolution. People also say that it runs amazing. I do need to buy a network card, but meh it's only like $26. SO PEOPLE OF YAHOO, If you think I should stick with the Gamer Xtreme 2000, tell me why. If you think I should get another computer, show me which and tell me why. Thanks a bunch. What are some parts that I can use to build a nice gaming desktop? I've been researching online and all the reviews i've been reading have said that its better to just build your own, but i don't know to much about computers. I would like to know what parts i need and how to assemble them when i got them. The only parts i have are a keyboard and a mouse. The only game i have really played was combat arms, i've always wanted to get a gaming pc but i've always had bad luck with desktops! I do not want a laptop!! O if you could also recommend some good games i would really appreciate that..My budget is 500-600 Thanks for all the help!!!

Any personal reviews on the Dell Alienware Desktop? ive been thinking about getting it cause i love gaming and i know alienware is one of the best for that. But the reason im asking is cause i wish i wouldve asked for reviews before i got my macbook pro, recently ive encountered terrible viruses and bad costumer support, so any reviews on things like that would be great thanks:)

Mac Desktop Reviews and Advice? I'm considering purchasing a Mac Desktop sometime in the future...not sure exactly when though, and I would just like to hear your thoughts and maybe if you could offer a word of advice...maybe pros and cons on the computer. I currently have 3 PCs, with one pretty much not working at all and another kinda on its way out the door. I enjoy gaming and I also use a lot of "big" programs, such as iTunes, Skype, and FSX. First of all, I would like to know if the Mac works well with the high-memory-required programs. Also, what does the Mac offer or provide that the PC doesnt have? Any advice is highly appreciated!!! Thanks! :)
Budget Build Gaming Desktop? For a long time now, Ive wanted to become a PC gamer, but my budget is holding me back. This is my current choice. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1DDC6T Keep in mind that don't want to run my games at the highest fps possible. I plan on playing my games on low to medium graphics with no lag whatsoever. I would like to play on high, but i can play with what im provided with. I'm also very wary of the power supply. I have never heard of Xtreme Gear, nor have i heard bad or good reviews, like i said, my budget is very tight, and i would like a build that would run every game fine, with spending the least amount of money as possible. Please let me know if this build will do, or if there's a cheaper build that will perform the way i expect it to. And i do not want to spend over $600, and i already have a 19" monitor, for those who are wondering. Ive also been offered a Laptop with the same specs (supposedly) for $300, and i have never seen a reliable gaming laptop with quad cores for under $400. I want to know if this deal is good(or reliable). http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1DDC8T New Video Card

PLZ answer asap and remember NO BUILD IT YOURSELF STUFF! Also dont recommend Alien Ware Ive had some bad experiences with them before. Thnx for your answers in advance. :D

Gaming Desktop Questions? My first question is which computer case looks nicer: 1)http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/landing/trooper/home.php 2)http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/landing/haf912/home.php -Also if you choose the second one, would it look better with or without a thermal display. The thermal display I would choose would be this one: http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/aerocool_touch_2000_touch_screen_fan_controller My second question is how much overclocking should I put on that processor? Also, does it mean they do it for you rather than you doing it yourself? The options are 10%,20%, and 30%. My third question: What is the maximum GHz this PC can have and is it good for gaming & video rendering (mainly on Sony Vegas Pro): http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1DPHWR My fourth question: Is this computer worth the price? http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1DPHWR Final Question: Is cyberpowerpc a safe website to order my computer from? THANKS FOR ANSWERING ALL THE QUESTIONS IF YOU DID. IF NOT, IF YOU ANSWERED FEW, I STILL APPRECIATE IT.
Steps to building a gaming desktop? Well, my mom just said that she was about to go get a laptop for herself-At 400$-But she didn't because it didn't have a tray. Time to take advantage. XD I've been really wanting to play some of the newer games because of the beautiful graphics...Can't because there's no such thing as a reasonable laptop under 600 that plays game. Can play Sims 3 though...Got bored of that game. FACTS: Computer stores around my area. Planning to get the AMD ATI RADEON HD 4870 graphics card already...Did you see the reviews for it? :D But I'm lost with everything else. Steps to building a gaming computer within a budget? We do have a tower-Its a 4 year old one with a RAM card, a ripped out fan...A ripped out brain...Actually we should just get a new tower. -_- All we need to do is build a tower...And is there any computer stores that would build one? Ah, maybe I should just buy a decent computer that can install the 4870. If I get some good feedback on if it really does matter what other components I install, that sounds like the best idea. Thanks for the suggustion!
Is this Gaming Desktop too good to be true? Hi, I'm relatively new to pc gaming and I've been trying to find the most ideal rig for under $1500.00. I don't have any intentions of building a rig, so instead i just want to find the best pre-assembled gaming computer on the market. After sifting through brands like Alienware, iBUYPOWER and Cyberpower, by far the best deal I've come across is the CybertronPC Fortress IV for $1299.99. The computer comes with: -Quad-Core FX-4170 Processor 4.2 GHz -16GB Ballistix Sport DDR3 1600MHz memory -1000 GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive -2GB Radeon HD7850 graphics card -Corsair CWCH60 Hydro Series Liquid CPU Cooler Processor Fan -Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 AM3+ 2x16 4D3 M32 GL R ATX Motherboard Here's the links: http://www.amazon.com/CybertronPC-Fortress-4-2GHz-Liquid-Ballistix/dp/tech-data/B0080NQF9E/ref=de_a_smtd or http://www.cybertronpc.com/customkititems~kc~GM2222B~Group~HOME~Cat~GAMERS.htm Well anyways, my question are (because I don't know much about computer specs)...is there something I'm missing? How come there's no reviews on amazon for this product if it's such a deal? Does anybody own this specific computer, if so can you tell me your take on it (is it a deal or what)? Is CybertronPC a good company? Is the 4.2 ghz processor misleading (because I've come across $2000.00 PC's with only 3.5 ghz and such)? Is it really liquid cooling or is the cooling just a fan? Is the graphics card capable of running a highly modded skyrim on ultra? Can it be overclocked? etc. etc. etc.
Trying to buy a new gaming computer? I am trying to buy a new desktop gaming computer for a reasonable price (around $1k or so). I was originally looking at the Asus CG5290-BP009, but after reading the reviews I was a little skeptical. Any suggestions?
Help with my Gaming Desktop?!? My first question is: What are some trustworthy/reputable computer companies, that I can order a custom build from? - I was looking at computerplanet.co.uk but they don't seem reliable or trustworthy from all the reviews I've read... My second question is: What graphics card should I go for the GTX 560 Ti 1GB or the GTX 570 1280MB, how well do they both perform? My third question is: If I wanted a dual/2 screen rig, could I buy 2 lower grade NVIDIA GeForce cards and still get the same quality from a 560 or 570 on 1 screen? I don't want an AMD or ATI.... My fourth question is: whats a good but inexspensive case to get? And my fifth question is: For recording gameplay on a pc,whats some good software or hardware to get? I know you can get a hauppauge one that you place inside your pc I think. Also if I got an Alienware Aurora PC, would it be good for editing in vegas as well as gaming? Many Thanks 2 hours ago - 4 days left to answer. Additional Details or a Dell XPS instead? 1 hour ago Sony Vegas 11 yes and I've hear that AMD's or ATI's aren't very good or they are going downhill, so I may be wrong but I hear AMD's are good for running on more than one screen at a time... - Intel i5 2500k or Intel i7 for gaming and editing? If i got the limited edition 560 theres no HDMI input ? I live in the UK and I'm not buying a pre built one... how would 2 560 448 cards handle? and do they have hdmi inputs?
Is this a good gaming desktop deal? i saw some reviews that this can run bf3 on ultra barely im not good woth computers but i love playing games i have 800$ to spend on a computer and i wanna ask you guys this is a good deal link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227391&Tpk=N82E16883227391
specs/recommendations for desktop for data processing, not gaming - ca $1000? Looking to buy (not build) a new desktop to work (science) from home. I'd like recommendations for computers, with specs, that would be best for running mapping software (ArcGIS) and working with large graphics files in Adobe CS4. What should I be looking for in a computer? AMD or Intel - does it matter? Most reviews seem to focus on what's best for gaming or business, neither of which really addresses the data analysis issue.
Just want some input and feedback: Is this a good setup for a gaming/schooling desktop computer system? Hello all! I am currently racking my brain right now on if this is going to be a good choice for my next system. I'm kind of a jack-of-all-trades so to speak. I am currently a student for Network Design & Administration so I will want to run my virtual environments on Windows 7 for labs and homework, and I am also an avid gamer who has been out of circulation for quite some time. Examples of some games I play: Silent Hunter IV: Wolves Of The Pacific, Medieval II: Total War, Empire: Total War, Company Of Heroes, Oblivion, Morrowind, and hopefully Crysis in the future! Here is what I kind of have my heart set on right now: GPU - SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity ~I would eventually like to get two of these for SLI/CF, but that will have to come at a later time unfortunately as funds are currently short. I have always had good luck with Sapphire and would like to stick with them if they are still of good quality. RAM - CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1333C7 G ~This will be my first experience with Corsair. I've done a lot of researching of the reviews of Corsair, and feel comfortable with their overall highly spoken-of reputation of reliability! Was thinking about DDR3-1600, but don't want to over-stress my Bloomfield 3.06GHz i7-950 (specs will be shown below, please feel free to interject if you think I am short-changing myself on this! Not too concerned with OC, but it would be nice maybe in the future!). Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-X58-USB3 LGA 1366 Intel X58 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard ~Originally wanted to go with the GIGABYTE UD3R, but changed my mind to this selection as cost was a concern to me. CPU - Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor BX80601950 ~Coming from an old AMD setup, liked the reviews about the newer Intel chips, so decided to give this guy a chance. HDD - Western Digital Caviar Blue WD10EALS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive ~Don't need a crap-ton of space, I figure a 1TB would be enough. seeing as how I've had my one 320GB WD drive for the past 5 years, and have never come close to even filling a third of it up. But extra space potential is always nice! Optical Media - LITE-ON Blu-ray Burner with 3D Playback SATA iHBS212 LightScribe ~This is not a necessity for me, however, LITE=ON has always worked exceptionally for me so I figured why not. So my question is..... do you guys think this would be a good setup to last me the next 5 years before the next go-around??? Any input, suggestions, or feedback is more than welcome!! Thanks!! The Crows EDIT: I almost forgot to mention the case and power supply specs as well! These two things have already been ordered, so I forgot to include them on my list! PSU - KINGWIN Lazer LZ-850 850W Modular 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC W/ 3-Way LED Switch and Universal Modular Connector Power Supply ~Now, I know I'll probably get crucified by everyone for this selection, but from what I've read and heard over the past couple of weeks, Kingwin has been really trying to make some strides in the PSU department, there's just not a lot of people willing to trust them yet since they are still pretty much an unknown name, which is understandable! But I want to give them a chance to prove themselves. Case - Thermaltake Element V Black Edition Steel Full Tower Computer Case Colorshift Fans VL200K1W2Z ~My last full tower is an older ThermalTake Armor+ series. I just like this brand. Very roomy and robust! Sorry for forgetting these two details! :)
Is this desktop computer really good for gaming? I want a new gaming computer because mine is cheap and old and I found this at best buy and wanted to know if it was good for gaming. There doesnt seem to be many reviews about this comp. Asus - Essentio Desktop / Intel® Core™ i7 Processor / 8GB Memory / 1TB Hard Drive Specs: Processor Intel® Core™ i7 Processor Speed 3.4GHz Cache Memory 8MB on die Level 3 System Memory (RAM) 8GB Graphics NVIDIA GT 530 The games I am hoping to play on it are games like Rift: Planes of Telara or Call Of Duty or Battlefield 3, ETC.... Thanks

Hi I am planning on purchasing a gaming computer, mainly for call of duty 4, and other games possibly, also for work use and personal use. my price range was basically 550$ and under. this is what I ended up with now I just need some tips from people who know gaming computers to see if this is worth it or not. here are the products HP Pavilion a6230n GC561AA Refurbished Desktop PC - AMD Athlon X2 5600+ 2.8GHz, 3GB DDR-2, 400GB SATA II, DVDRW/RAM - LS, Flash Media Reader, 10/100 LAN, Windows Vista Home Premium the desktop is refurbished but I have been hearing good reviews, and also replacing the video card with this one EVGA GeForce 8600 GT / 256MB GDDR3 / SLI Ready / PCI Express / DL Dual DVI / HDTV / Video Card total shipped to my home is about 540$ after rebate comes down to 500$ basically, also comes with keyboard and mouse. think this is pretty decent or good for the price? specs good enough to run most games fine? thanks ok so now I am considering the 8800 gt its 125$ after rebate. man more pain in the pocket, with this I should run most games no problem right? and cod4 as well? Cheap Gaming Computer Stores in Toronto? I'm looking for a cheap gaming desktop preferably $400-$600, Could anyone living in toronto refer me to a store where they sell good/cheap pcs or an online site. I've tried newegg but there are a ton of reviews saying parts are missing and stuff so i don't want to bother sending it back and paying for shipping..etc. I would like an intel processor with a good graphics card. Also, if you are going to refer an online source, please link me, Thanks :D
