How can i overclock my Intel graphics card with a software? I know its possible to overclock graphics card. I know a way myself by using rivatuner, but rivatuner doesnt seem to be compaitble with me graphics card. Is there a software tool out there that can help me overclock it? I get such weak performance from my card. Please help

What is the result when overclocking intel pentium Dual-core? I overlocked a 2.5 ghz by configuing the BIOS Overlocking profile in the Jumper free Configuration to overlock to 30%. When Windows XP booted I went to the System Properties and it says about the processor: "Intel Pentium Dual-Core @2.5 Ghz" and under it "3.25 Ghz" Does this mean that only one core is being overlocked?

What gaming PC should I ask for this Christmas? This Christmas I am asking for a new gaming PC so that I can start playing more PC games on my computer again. The thing about my current PC is that I don't think that the new PC games that I want to play on it will run smoothly. Some of the games I plan on playing are Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 (assuming it turns out to be really good when the relaunch of it happens), Diablo 3, might consider getting Skyrim (because the PS3 version is just CRAP), and might try some shooters if I feel like it. My current computer runs actually pretty good except the graphics card keeps overheating when I play a game. Be it a flash game (like a fb game) or try an online game like Final Fantasy XI. I also from time to time use an art program called GIMP and just practice doing artwork on the computer. The program takes up a lot of space both for the program and the pictures I make. It also gets a virus from time to time but that's mainly because I only have Norton Security. Wondering if it would be better to just get an Apple computer. So I what I want to know is this. Should I ask for a new computer? If so, which one that can be found for around $500 to $700. OR Should I just get someone to work on my computer and buy new parts for it. I know that often can be cheaper to do and less of a headache to move all my files over. I will post my specs below. Computer begins to log horrible after 20 minutes of gameplay? im using an alienware m11x r1 1.4 GHz overclocked to 1.7 Ghz 4 gigs of ram and 1 gig graphics card after playing anygame after 20 minutes it lagges like hell i was playing starcraft 2 lag free on high graphics when after 20 minutes it instantly became very laggy. anybody know what to do over this?

how can i tweak my system to run games as fast as possible? heres my setup: pentium D 925 3ghz dual core, 2gb ddr2 pc5400 ram, 200gb hdd (about 80gb free), and a nvidia 8400 256mb video adapter. games run ok, but i want more. im saving for an 8800, but for now, i want to get this system as fast as possible with what i have. i can overclock the gpu by 100mhz (dont want to heat it up too much, its already pretty warm in there) so its got a 600mhz core with a 500mhz memory clock. how else can i speed up my system? i only want it faster for games, everything else works fast enough for me. i have a 450w psu, will that have enough output to run an 8800?

How does someone increase cpu speed? why does nvida offer the software to overclock your gpu ? as the title says ? it is a bit confusing because if you download NVIDIA System Tools it allows you to overclock your gpu. but surely that would void the warranty and diminish your gpu's life ?? so you would then ring up nvidia and say this cards broken (if overclocked to high) and get another one for free. this doesn't make sense in less nvidia like to lose money ??

overclock stability? i have a AMD Athalon 64 3200+ 2000mhz on a biostar gforce6100-m19, and a x1600 ati radeon 512mb card with 1gig of ram. i lowered the muliplyer from 4x to 2x. lowered ram from 200mhz to 133mhz, increased FSB 200mhz and 0.05v. it runs fine with no glitch. but after about 3-5 hours of gameing i get rebooted. is this a good overclock? is there a free program to check my stability and for errors? i get alot of boost but is it worth it? Gone from 2000mhz to 2200mhz max with no glitch. need pro overclocking help.

Can't overclock in BIOS? I am wanting to overclock my computer, but am unable to do so in BIOS. I have seen in instructional videos that overclocking is done by going to advanced-> jumper free config. or something of the sort. However, when I open my BIOS and go to the advanced page, the only thing it has is the information on the CPU intel i3, etc. and below it the rest of the settings, USBs, etc. What would I have to do to overclock?

Should I have a company overclock my quad core cpu, without additional cooling installed? ??? I am having a pc built for me buy a custom pc company, and after much asking around I have finally found out that they would be willing to overclock my intel q6600 from 2.4ghz to 2.8ghz....for free! However I am unsure whether I should ask for this, as although it would save me a weekend, they do not provide any additional cpu cooling, so I would have to buy my own, and install it as soon as the pc would arrive. Would there be any damage to my pc because it would not have proper cooling for a day or so whilst I checked if it worked properly before I installed a new cooler, and whilst they are actually overclocking it? Is it even worth overclocking my cpu, or is it just a stupid risk?? My friend said that I should do it myself , so as to know how to reverse it if need be, but I know that this can consume a lot of time... Thanks. PS: would it actually make much difference in terms of performance if I had them overclock it to 2.8ghz?

Laptop problem? Heat? Free Space? Virus? I'm playing fallout 3 with no lag on medium with 800x600, 8x AA, No Anisotropic Filtering, HDR. My GPU can make High too but my problem here is that suddenly when i play, i get somekind of leak in the cpu. The game goes slow, fast, slow, fast slow, fast. I have to go to the menu and wait a bit and then play again for 2 min and it happens again :( This is because the CPU cache is getting full. CPU may run slow when its over heated. My pc runs at 70+ degrees. Thats baad. When im not playing its about 67 degrees. So i think its a problem there. For some months ago my GPU died and i bought a new one 8600m gt 512mb, my old one was 8600m gs 256mb witch was slow. But.... the cooling pasta was removed and we didn't add a new one... CAN THIS BE THE PROBLEM?! Do i need to add a new piece if cooling pasta? The pc is currently in my room witch is cold. Very cold. Im using it as a desktop but only a big screen connected to it and external disk + keyboard & mouse. Will it work to put a fan next to my pc? lol. I got the problem away for a while while i was running with AA on 4x but it looked horrible?!!? Whats best? Higher resolution with no AA or low resolution with AA? So, basically my question is: Why do i get those "slowdowns" ? How can i reduce/remove it? Is this caused by heat? P67 Sabertooth + 2600K Overclock 4.5Ghz Help? Hello, I have a P67 Sabertooth Mobo with an Intel 2600K Processor and DDR3 1333Mhz G-Skill 2x4Gb CL9 Ram, Seasonic X-650 PSU, HD6950 GPU, Seagate 1TB HDD and Scythe CPU cooler. I am trying to overclock my processor to 4.5Ghz with a Vcore of at least 1.31v. So far I have been unsuccessful. I have been able to do 4.5Ghz at 1.33-5v stable but on most forums I see people stating that 1.3v should be easily achieved. I can boot up with 1.3v at 4.5Ghz with LLC at either high or ultra high and then I run Intel burn test and everything is fine. Suddenly however while I'm surfing the net or playing a game it will BSOD. I have probably spent about 13+ Hours in total fiddling around with settings but still end up with BSOD. It could be that I by chance have a reaaally bad processor although I think it is more likely there is something I am doing wrong. During Intel Burn Test my Vcore goes from 1.312v to as low as 1.288 which is my Vdroop. During idle depending on LLC seting, my Vcore is within +0.01v. Here are some values that I normally change: PLL Overvoltage - Disabled CPU Multiplier - 45 LLC - High or Ultra High Phase Control - Extreme Duty Control - T.Probe Thermal C States - Disabled. Speedstep - Enabled or Disabled Everything else is usually default including RAM settings. I have already done extensive searching on the net and gone over dozens of forums and tutorials but have not found a solution yet. In case you were wondering why I wanted to lower my Vcore, it is so I can produce less heat, increase longevity of processor and to save some power. Feel free to ask any questions for clarification. So can anyone help me out? Any Suggestions? Your help would be much appreciated! My Temps at 4.5Ghz: I get around 33-41 idle I think. Under stress I get about around 59-66. These are all degrees Celsius.
core i3 530 overclock help? so i have a core i3 530 and any time i overclock from stock frequency @2.93 ghz it will crash with a wierd noise coming from speakers almost a screech. i have this cooler http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6101295&CatId=798 and a friend of mine has the same cooler on an amd and overclocks fine. any help? if any more info needed please feel free to ask my mobo is a p55-gd65 i do bios oc and i will try doing it with less multplier no i tried what you told me.. no luck and i meant 3.1 ghz i dont know how i missed the one... ok but what do you mean about ratio's i have 4 gigabytes of patriot sector 5 ra 1333 megaherts and when i overclock i always try to keep frequency as stock as possible
How far should I overclock my video memory? I have a Radeon HD 5850 1GB. Factory settings: Core clock: 725 MHz Memory clock: 1000MHz Using MSI Afterburner I've already adjusted the fan speed curve and was able to OC the GPU to 850 MHz with a very cool temperature. In fact, the temperature during the benchmark with the OC and fan speed modifications was actually LOWER than the fan speed without any modifications. So it is running at a nice temperature. But my question is this: Can I overclock my memory to 1200 MHz safely? My fan speed curve is a little higher than normal, so my GPU temperature should stay within a safe range, but I am worried that the temperature of my VRAM might not register. And if my VRAM gets too hot but I can't SEE that increase on the meter, then I can't do anything to stop it. It is only a 20% OC, but I'd rather be safe (maybe paranoid) than sorry. tl;dr 1000 MHz to 1200 MHz, safe or no? Feel free to ask for more information if you need, and I'll add info as needed.
