What is a computer that can game, but isn't a gaming computer? Hello Everyone! I am looking for a laptop that like I said can game with ease, not much lag, but it doesn't have to be able to handle like the best graphics. I just bought a $2200 gaming PC, so I don't feel like spending all that much on a laptop, plus I need something portable for school that I can carry around easily. I also really want it to LOOK GOOD!! Sleek, thin please! Well I have seen this in other threads, so here we go! 1. What is your budget? About $800 at most. 2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? I am thinking 13-15" maybe 17" if it is a good deal, because sometimes I do like larger laptops. I would really like it to be thinner, I don't want it to be a tank. 3. What screen resolution do you want? As good as possible with my budget. HD is preferred, but not needed. 4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Portable is preferred, nothing massive! I would like it to be thin! 5. How much battery life do you need? About 3-4 hours would be great, more even better! 6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? I want to be able to play Starcraft II, World of Warcraft, Runescape (on High of course not very taxing), Borderlands (High), Minecraft (Normal distance) and other games to come probably. When it comes to Starcraft and WoW I would like high graphics of course but it isn't needed. 7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Mostly playing music, watching movies and other videos, web browsing, video/photo editing. 8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? As much as possible with the budget. Preferably 500GB or more. 9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. Anywhere that is reputable! I would like to order online. 10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? I plan to keep it for my years throughout Highschool. 11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,BluRay ROM/Writer,Etc ? Anything is fine. I would like it to be able to write/burn DVD's though. Obviously, I want the best I can get! 12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. No preference really, just a good quality laptop, that LOOKS GOOD!! I have had Apple and Asus both of which I really liked. 13. What country do you live in? USA I hope that covers it all. Let me know! Thanks!

My 1rst Gaming PC Build - Will it be beast? Here's the first thing. It's not cheap but I am only paying half, so it's more affordable. I am into heavy video editing with my GoPro Hero 2 and will be making videos of snowmachining and etc lately. I upload in 1080p sometimes and sometimes in 720p at 60fps. These are heavy loads, so I built this computer to handle those, and play games at max resolutions. Is this a good gaming pc for me? I have recently decided to have cyberpowerpc build my computer. I have looked at the cost of me building a similar pc to the one i have customized at cyberpowerpc and the prices were very close. My budget is around $1000 and the computer i have customized at cyberpower pc is $1044 with coupon and shipping. Building it myself would almost cost $1100 with similar products, and that isn't included shipping from these products. This is the computer i built at cyberpowerpc. My friend has had a cyberpower custom built pc for about 2 years already, and he has had no problems with it. He told me about this website so I looked at it and i came about building this pc. I know this pc probably wont have any problems running games like battlefield 3 and other high end games at high to max settings, but are there any problems with the pc above? Do any of you reccomend cyberpowerpc?

How much to sell a PC game coupon code for on ebay? I got the new video game "Shogun II: Total War" for free with an Intel processor I bought from Newegg. I don't have/will have any interest in a video game like this and i could use some extra money from it. what is a fair price for it, since it is just a little pamphlet with a steam download code (not a box with a disc)? Newegg said that the "value" of the game is $49. i am hoping for at least $39~ should i send the paper pamphlet, or email the buyer the game download code? it came with my CPU for free. i am only gaining money by selling it.

Gaming pc build, how well will this do? im building a pc to do some pc gaming, i mainly console game, so ill be playing pc exclusives or games that just run better on pc anyway. The games im looking to run (medium or some on high, i dont mind medium settings haha, not looking to blow my eyes out or anything) Crysis, Far Cry 2, WoW, TF2, L4D 1+2, any new games that come in the future that catch my fancy ;p. Links are below products for further specs, just wondering if it looks good/ is there anything that would be a better choice (preferably cheaper, i dont want to spend more money if i can help it) I dont really think ill be doing any overclocking, if i do it would be minimal hard drive - Western Digital Caviar Blue WD2500AAKS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136161 GPU - HIS H577FK1GD Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161338 RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231275 PSU/optical drive combo - Corsair CMPSU-650TX - Lite-On iHAP422-98 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.435637 Mobo/CPU combo - ASUS M4A78T-E - AMD Phenom II x4 945 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.436065 case - NZXT LEXS-001BK Lexa S Crafted Series Mid Tower PC Case & Free S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Please critique my gaming PC? After shipping and the $10 rebate this PC will cost me $1,162.70 minus $23 worth of credit card rewards. My primary concern is if my case selection is good enough for proper ventilation of the system. I would not want to whole thing burning up on me. Also if my choice for power supply and hard drive are OK. I am buying through CyberPower PC. Buying a Gaming PC (Specs Included)? Hello, since I already failed to build a new computer and had to ship all my parts back, being a real pain in the neck, I just decided I should buy a custom built PC. Here are the specs: Case: HAF 932 CPU: i7 920 (overclocked to 3.75hz) Motherboard: EVGA X58M PSU: 700W Dual SLI compatible (silent edition) RAM: 6GB Corsair or Mushkin DDR3 1600Mhz Hard Drive: Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM 32MB cache SATA Optical Drive: DVR/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD-Writer 20x/CD-Writer 48x) GPU: 2x GTX 275 892MB SLI Sound Card:7.1 24-bit/192kHz DecodingHighDefinitionIntegratedAudio Cooling: Asetek Liquid Cooling + Standard Fans from Case OS: Vista Home Premium 64-Bit (Free Windows 7 Upgrade Coupon) Warranty: 2 Year Extended Parts + Labor Warranty PRICE: $1886 Is this worth it? I cannot change the parts in anyway, as it is a prebuilt. And I am thinking of buying a monitor with these specs: Screen Size - 23 Resolution - 2048 x 1152 Brightness - 300 cd Contrast Ratio - 20000 - 1 (DC) Response time - 5 Is the computer a nice deal? And is the monitor good enough? Will the overclock decrease proccesor's life? If so, how much?

Help buying a gaming computer? I'm possibly going to buy a new gaming computer soon and I'm having some trouble deciding between two that I've already chosen. First I'll post the specs for both of them. 1.) HP Pavilion HPE h9-1100z Phoenix Desktop PC - AMD FX-8120 eight-core processor [3.1GHz, 8MB L2/8MB L3 Cache] - FREE UPGRADE to 10GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [3 DIMMs] from 8GB - 2TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive - 1GB DDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti [2 DVI, mini-HDMI. VGA adapter] - Plus the Blu Ray player...which I won't even use probably. (Free upgrade) 2.) Alienware X51 Mini Gaming Desktop - Now the only thing that is keeping me back from getting this computer is its size. I like that it's small, but I'm not sure how well it will be when it comes to upgrading parts if I get new hardware. - Intel® Core™ i5-2320 3.0GHz (6MB Cache) with Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 - 8GB (2x4GB) Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz - 1TB SATA 3Gb/s (7,200RPM) 32MB Cache - 1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 555 Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Alienware's processor is superior to the HP's. I'm not too sure on the graphics card; I'm thinking they're around the same? But anyways, I don't even need 2TB of HD space (only option for HP) and the 10GB of RAM is a free upgrade...8 is more than enough. But, using the coupons that I found online, the HP i can get down to $980. With the Dell Alienware, I can get it down to $850! I think that's an awesome price, and plus I can order games like Diablo and Battlefield with the purchase. Now that I look at it more closely, I believe the Alienware (surprisingly) makes the way better deal. What do you think, is $850 a good price for the Alienware? ALSO: I'm not going to be able to order from a gaming pc website, because I need to finance my computer. I don't have the full money atm. And PS. I asked a similar question like 2 days ago but I switched up the settings, so yeahhhh..

Which gaming computer is better? One is from Walmart for $620 ($670 with tax) http://www.walmart.com/ip/CyberPower-GLU101/14089717 Second from Centaurus Computers - for $680 (699 - 3% coupon), so price is the same. http://centauruscomputers.com/html/warlock_wow_gaming_pc.html Most parts like HDD, DVD, PSU, case are about equal, same 4GB RAM, difference in CPU, motherboard and videocard. Cyberpower: Athlon II X4 635 2.9GHz motherboard - unknown Video - ATI 5450 1GB DDR2 Centaurus Computers: Intel i5 540 3.5+GHz (overclock from factory) Motherboard - Intel H55 Video - Nvidia GT 430 1GB DDR3 According to benchmarks Intel i3 540 is much faster in games than Athlon II X4, plus Intel comes overclocked 15% over. http://www.anandtech.com/show/2901/12 Centaurus also provides better warranty and full backup on DVDs, not just on HDD partition, plus original Win7 disc. So what are your thoughts? Will mostly be used for WOW
