What's the difference between a gaming PC and a powerful Home PC? Apart from the fact that the Gaming PC has a better graphics card and perhaps a skin or a colourful case of the tower. They seem the same to me. @1st- Couldn't they be used for both? They have the same tech specs. @wuzzi- So it's just the graphics card like I said? If they both had the same graphics card, wouldn't it be the same?

I won an xbox, but already have a nice gaming PC. Should I sell the xbox? I won an the special edition Star Wars Xbox 360 w/ Kinect as a door prize at an event I recently attended. I already have a pretty decent gaming PC. I can play pretty much any of the same games on PC (and at a higher quality). Is there any reason I am missing that I shouldn't sell the Xbox? It looks like I could probably get 350 to 400$ for it.
What is the Name of an Old Chinese video game? Used to remember playing this game on PC a while back. -It was like monopoly where you had a game piece and would roll two dices (mahjong dices), and move around purchasing properties. -one of the pieces was a farmer with traditional Chinese farming hat and i remember another a gambler. -there were special cards that you could buy and use and have certain abilities. -there was also a mini game with a casino. If anyone could remember this game it would be awesome and thanks!

Would it be possible to convince game companies to merge and form a sort of supergame? I am just a bit devastated because I finished Dragon Age 2 today and I got to thinking... Why don't major gaming companies come together to advertise for a game that doesn't end? I don't know if it's just me, but I hate it when I get to the end of a game. Think of Runescape and World of Warcraft. I am aware that these are PC games, but consoles have patches and updates too. These patches and updates in Runescape and WoW generally fix bugs and add minor things to make the game a little better, but every once in a while new quests are added and new areas are made along with new storylines. Why couldn't game companies such as Bethesda, BioWare and EA come together to make an RPG console game that uses the patch and update method instead of expansions? Expansions are sometimes hard to find and a hassle to download. I don't like buying them and rarely do. I do, however, pay for memberships. The game I'm thinking they could make wouldn't work so well with the membership method, however you could do what many companies do to make money from free games; give players an option to buy extra gold, special coins, etc, etc. I really feel like a game like this should come out. Not some massive multiplayer console thing, but a console game that never has to end. With graphics like in Skyrim and Dragon Age 2, plus a bit more customisation and a bigger impact from your choices, this game would pretty much make the gaming community explode. My basic point is, if enough people would follow my idea, would Bethesda, BioWare and EA possiblymake this supergame? Or would they not even think about it?
What games should I get for my new laptop? Dishonored, ACIII, Borderlands 2, Guild Wars 2, etc. Can you guys help get a game for my computer? This is basically going to be my first foray into PC gaming, so I need some suggestions. Thanks I have Minecraft already, along with some steam games, like the Orange Box and such.
What is a good PC gaming setup for a decent price? Why does everybody keep on raving about battlefield 3 on PC? I own battlefield 3 for the PS3 and I like it very much, but I do not get why everybody is saying that the game is so much better on the pc, i can sort of see why with the pc exclusive 64-player lobbies , but what is so special about the rest of the game on pc that makes it "so much better" than its console counterparts?
What is the best way to organize your pc in pokemon platinum? I would like to know how most people organize their pc in pokemon platinum (or diamond and pearl), because I am not sure how to organise mine. What do people like in an adventure game on the computer? My older brother is creating a game on the internet that is a little similar to Runescape. I don't want them to be able to download anything. PLEASE HELP!
What Makes PC Gaming so Special? Tried PC gaming on a good PC, it's fun but why are all the PC fanboys constantly flaming the consoles? Is it because a good gaming PC could have better graphics than a console? Or the controls? And I do prefer console controls. What's all the fuss about?
Do PC bangs in Korea provide gaming accessories (i.e., special gaming mice/keyboard, joystick and etc)? If you currently reside in South Korea or are familiar with the PC gaming culture of Korea: How popular are PC bangs among gamers? Do people purchase their own PC games and gaming accessories (i.e., gaming mouse, keyboard, steering wheel, joystick and etc.) or do they rely on the game software and accessories that are found in these PC bangs? This RAM is TRIPLE Channel. I will also include the stock ram they shipped with, which is 3gb of triple channel (3 x 1gb) DDR3 ram. -Intel x58 Chipset (hence the triple channel) motherboard. - Radeon 5770 Graphics Card, Direct X 11.0 supported -875W Power supply, enough for a Crossfire/SLI configuration if you choose to get another 5770 -500GB SATA hard drive (Hard drives have been 50% more expensive as of late because of a flood in Thailand, so having one already will save you quite a bit of money). -The Aurora R2 is a very nice stylish case that allows you to change the color of the side panel lighting. I will include the manual as well as all CDs/DVDs that came with this system. -This system DOES come with a Windows Home Premium x64 license and a set of Resource/Recovery disks. With the system will come pre-installed the microsoft Office suite. The supported video connections for this beast are DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI (Obviously VGA will work with adapter). This would cost 700 USED. All the others are BRAND NEW. Which one would run Call of duty mW3 MAXED and how much fps? Please leave the last PC sseperate.
I need help with a gaming PC? I want to get a gaming PC. I am not interested in building it myself. I was looking on Cyperpower and found the Mega Special IV. Would this be a good gaming PC. Would this build be possible? (Gaming PC)? I would like to build a Gaming PC that can run Skyrim on lets say recommended settings with a few mods here and there. However I also would like to have dual monitors for YouTube on one and the game on the other. My current budget is $1500 this includes the computer, monitors, speakers, keyboard, and mouse. Just want to know if i can fit all this in for $1500. I think I would like 22" monitors with a standard gaming mouse and keyboard nothing special. If it is possible, it would be great if someone could maybe fill out a cyber power form? Rr something like that. I do not know much about building a PC but if you think It would be best I will. However it would be great if someone could personally help me pick out the parts.

But im a little confused on how the gaming process works. Im not interested in playing online. I just want to play classic games and other great games. Im going to need a detailed explanation on how to set up everything. What items do I need to start PC gaming? Do i need any special equipment? (Controllers, cables, etc?) Thanks a lot guys! It's a Gateway Desktop. NOT A LAPTOP. I have 2.00 MHz and 768 MB of RAM. For controllers,, is it possible if I can connect a PS2, PS3 or Xbox360 Controller? I dont want to use just my mouse and keyboard, can I use a controller from a game system and connect it in some way? I have Windows XP Home Edition.

Need help with building a budget gaming PC.? Ok after much thought of what I'm wanting to do, if wanting to actually build one or stick with my stock acer. Firstly my budget is $400-$500 max. Well I'm not wanting to be complete hardcore pc gaming, like dual GPU's, 16gb ram, and 6 cores. I repair computers, but never really get in-depth with different CPU's, GPU's, and motherboards. Now I know what you all will say you'll never have a good gaming pc being on a budget. But oh well, I'm wanting to play Starcraft 2 and maybe some other titles, but for the most part its not going to be super gaming. I'm wanting to run Win7 64-bit O/S. Here is what kind of spec's I'm looking for: -CPU (don't know much about the difference between AMD and Intel. I've seen AMD Quads cheaper then Intel Quads and even sometimes Intel's Core2's.) -Motherboard (wanting it capable of 8gb RAM but probably will stay at 4gb. Needs PCI express, and at least 4 SATA ports.) -RAM (4gb at least) -GPU (decent for gaming, but not pricey.) -Power Supply (600w) -Case (nothing special, doesn't need to look pretty just needs to be well vented and everything can fit without modifing the case. I'm going to be buying all from online today, so any help within the next 4-5 hours will help. Thanks. I have Win7 Pro 64-bit, Hard Drive, and DVD drive already. Forgot to mention that. So that $250 off the build you gave me.

Is this a good gaming PC? I've created a text file containing all of the items I am ordering from newegg. This is my first build and I've never ordered from newegg, so excuse me if this sounds like a strange question, but does newegg send your entire cart one at a time or all together? Do game designers or publishers bribe "Gamespot" and "PC gamer" for a good rating? I just want to be sure if "Gamespot" and "PC gamer" are honest about the grades they give for released games, cuz i released some grades are very harsh (like 1.5 and 2 over 10) for games that are not THAT bad,and on contrary i've seen 9/10 for completely normal games(nothing special). So do you think critics of those two sources are "bribe compatible"?
Building PC gaming computer question? Ok so I'm new to PC gaming. I wanted to build a gaming PC and all of the parts I chose ended up making the whole thing cost more than 3 grand and I don't have that kinda money to spend on a gaming PC. I simply chose the 'what I thought' better parts since they cost a bit more, but I really don't know much about these things. I want to play games with graphics at max settings like crysis 2 and the new upcoming battlefield 3, but if it's going to cost me THAT much then I won't buy one. OK SO MY QUESTION IS: Can someone please take some time to pick out the parts and help me achieve what I want from this site?- http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega_Special_IV/ Just leave what you have chosen and maybe 'why?'. I'd be so grateful for the help
Is this a good gaming pc? I was thinking of spening around $1300 for a gaming pc, until I saw this. This seems to have the specifications that measure up to pcs with much higher prices, yet it is advertised for only $635. I just wanted other people to get a look at this. Is this a good buy? Did they undercut something? http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega_Special_III/
Help building a gaming pc? so im building a gaming pc mainly for flight sim x NONE other games just fsx, it mainly runs on 1 core because its an old game so a quad core is pointless im thinking of getting a AMD Phenom II X2 Processor 555 Black Edition it puts out 3.2 Ghz standard it can be over clocked to 3.5 on auto and 3.8 on bios like i said fsx mainly uses 1 core and i would not be doing much else to engage the second core also this cpu can be unlocked to a quad so its future proof my main question is whats the best motherboard for it i wanting to use 6 gig of ddr3 or would ddr2 be better for fsx as i heard using an old game is better to use old parts that were made for the game what is a good gaming case where i can jam it full of fans if i decide to over clock to the max hard drive is nothing special and im thinking of nvidia 9800gtx or 260 what do you think thanks.
